Circular Impact Academy
Join a cohort of changemakers and turn your sustainability challenge into a circular solution in just 6 weeks!
Circular Impact Academy is designed to give people who are current students or alumni of Victorian universities the entrepreneurial skills to build business ideas to make our local and global community more sustainable. This program will give you a deeper knowledge of the circular economy, develop your aptitude in venture creation and set you up to make change.
As well as course content designed to help you understand how to build a circular startup, over 6 weeks the Circular Impact Academy prepares you for a pitch competition where you could win a share of a $1500 cash prize pool.

What's involved?
We'll support you with workshops, mentors and a cohort who will help you along the way. Each step in the course designed to help you identify sustainability problems and explore circular solutions.
Pitch competition
Circular Impact Academy builds up to a pitch event where you'll showcase your idea to circular champions from Victorian Circular Activator.
Connect with mentors
Throughout the program you'll connect with successful circular economy leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts who can share their real-world experience and advice.
Who can apply?
The following factors will be considered when you apply.

You must be passionate about sustainability and creating change through the circular economy!

3rd or 4th year students or postgraduates currently enrolled at any university in Victoria

Alumni or staff of Victorian universities

Solo participants or teams of up to five people
If you have an idea that you are already working on, it must be self-funded and pre-revenue (i.e. has received less than $3,000 from investors, customers, prize money or grants). Research funding is exempt.

When is the program?
This 6-week program takes place 29 June - 3 August 2023.
Weekly workshops: 5:30pm-7pm Thursday
Weekly mentoring: 5pm-5:45pm Tuesday
